"I'm Still a Little Suspicious of Purple"
I'm going big, big, bigger! At 14”x18”x1½”, this is -by far- my largest painting to date.
When inspiration insisted I paint with purple, I had to listen. Hours later, days later really, this canvas was covered in 17 shades of purple, paired with limey greens and bursts of yellow. Pinks and oranges are popping through, and there are areas of some cool texture.
Unique linework brings about so much interest both within the flowers, and as part of the background. I am thrilled with how the swirls, lines, and polka dots finish this piece.
Done in acrylic paint, and chalk pastel on gallery wrapped, heavy duty canvas. Finished with protective varnish. Edges are painted, and the back is outfitted with a sawtooth hanger, making your painting ready to hang.
