Coming up out of the subway into Manhattan. I’ll never forget spinning around, breathless, futilely trying to take it all in. Carnegie Deli and a strawberry cheesecake that I’ll forever covet. Times Square and Broadway! The artistry of those Christmas windows on Saks Fifth Ave. Bagels! IYKYK. The Met and all those Roman (Greek?) statues. Central Park. John Lennon RIP.

And Rockefeller Center. At Christmastime. I mean…so iconic, so beautiful, intensely romantic.

Can you order your painting without a mat? Absolutely! Maybe you want a different color or mat size. However, it IS important to mat your painting before it hits the frame glass. The mat gives your painting a little breathing room; without it, the paint will eventually stick to the glass.
